Conga Intensive Workshop with Dudu Tucci

Brazilian beats on 1-3 congas, floating hands, independence and developing a good playing technique, your conga skills will be improved a lot in this workshop. Previous knowledge (intermediate - advanced) is required. Interesting and diverse rhythms from ritual Umbanda and Candomblé de Angola to Samba grooves and modern rhythms.

Ideal for all percussionists, conga players, timbal players, sambistas with hand drum experience, and Latin percussionists who want to expand their knowledge of the world of Brazil beats.

In addition to playing grooves and building your soloing skills, the focus will also be on intensive training of conga techniques and achieving a high level of sound quality. General basics like slaps, open tones and muffles will be covered as well as advanced techniques like floating hands, independence and expanding your creative musical repertoire. Sheet music will be handed out at the end of the course.

Please bring your own instruments (at least two, better three congas, cowbell and/or agogô). By arrangement, we also have a few congas available for people arriving by train or plane.
